Flat Pack and Furniture Assembly in Scarborough

Holiday rentals and short stays

A lot of Scarborough property is short-stay accommodation, and short-stay has a particular problem: the turnaround. A broken bed base or a wardrobe that never got built is not an inconvenience, it is a cancelled booking. If you manage a rental here and something needs assembling, replacing or repairing between guests, tell us the checkout time and we will work to it.

Beachside apartments

The apartment blocks along the coast bring lift access, limited parking near the esplanade, and units where the balcony is bigger than the bedroom. Compact and modular furniture is the norm, and much of it has to be built in the room. We know the buildings around here and where the loading access actually is.

Anything living on a balcony or in a yard within a few streets of the water takes a beating. Fixings corrode, joints loosen, and a setting that was fine last summer is wobbling by the next. We can rebuild and re-tension outdoor furniture rather than you replacing it, and we will use fixings that last a bit longer in this air.

JOINZ at a glance

  • Hours: 8:30am to 10pm, seven days a week, evenings and Sundays included. Most assemblers stop at 5pm on weekdays.
  • How soon: Often the same day. We are based in Scarborough, so there is no long drive to the northern and western suburbs.
  • Where we go: The Perth metropolitan area within about 25km of Scarborough.
  • What it costs: Priced per item on assembly time at $2 per minute, plus a one-off $130 call-out per booking. Fixed prices, quoted up front. No bidding and no haggling.
  • Insurance: Public liability cover, and our workmanship is guaranteed. If something is not right, we come back and fix it.
  • Packaging: Unpacked, sorted and taken away for recycling, so you are left with the furniture and no mess.
  • What we assemble: IKEA, plus flat pack from Amart, Fantastic Furniture and Freedom, and furniture that arrives boxed from online sellers.
  • Taking things apart: Disassembly is priced at 25% less than assembly, because it is quicker. We also remove old furniture, and can take items apart at one address and rebuild them at the other.
